competitively, nationwide.
ARCA RE/MAX Series 2007
Stuart, Florida's Bryan Silas just completed his
first full season of ARCA RE/MAX Series competition
with solid results. In 23 races this year the
20-year old rookie captured three top-10 finishes
knocking down a career best eighth at the tough
short track of Salem Speedway while also producing a
very competitive eighth place on the super fast
Kentucky Speedway this past July.
Driving for the two-time ARCA RE/MAX Series Champion
Andy Hillenburg, Silas battled with the best of the
best this season. The youngster's first season was a
diverse one. From Daytona International Speedway to
Salem Speedway and even making his first of two dirt
track debuts at Illinois State Fairgrounds, Silas is
banking on his experience in 2007 to aid him towards
a top-five championship next year
Running a mixture of Fords and Chevrolets through
ARCA's very intense racing series, Silas was able to
persevere through adversity and prove that no matter
what type of equipment the likeable and talented
driver is handed, he can drive to the front.
Taking his stab at the lead twice this season at
Pocono Raceway and Kentucky Speedway has also
sparked that SIlas can be a leading contender week
in and week out.
Claiming the ninth position in the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX
Series point standings has guaranteed Silas an
on-stage appearance at the ARCA RE/MAX Series
Championship Awards Banquet on December 8th in
Covington, Kentucky.
Silas will return for a full sophomore campaign
season driving for Fast Track Racing with activities
beginning the second week of December with a three
day open ARS test at Daytona International Speedway
in preparation for the season opener in February
2008.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series 2007
In addition to running a full ARCA RE/MAX Series
schedule, Silas also advanced his career to the next
stage by competing in a limited NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series schedule this year with Hillenburg's
Fast Track Racing bunch in tow.
Making his career start at Kansas Speedway, Silas
qualified for the event, remained quiet and calm
during the extremely competitive race to post a very
respectable 29th place finish in his inaugural
debut.
Additional races at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Kentucky
Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway and Talladega
Superspeedway saw Silas put the No. 71 Chevrolet
Silverado into the field posting a career best 25th
at Kentucky Speedway the night after collecting his
career best ARCA RE/MAX Series speedway finish.
From short tracks to speedways and even
superspeedways, Silas has been able to prove to the
NASCAR community he is the real deal and, with a
little more time, he'll mature even further into a
serious contender.
Silas also knows the playing field rises
considerably in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series,
the 20 year old knows that NASCAR is on his horizon
and the experience he gains this season will only
help further propel his ARCA career.
The valuable truck time will continue to sink in as
Silas plans to run two more events this season
before moving ahead to another limited schedule in
2008 with a full ARCA schedule already in place,
with a serious look at a full NCTS championship
effort in 2009
ARCA RE/MAX Series 2006
In
2006, he finished career best 16th at Toledo Speedway, also finishing
20th at Milwaukee Mile, 26th at Iowa Speedway, 34th at Berlin Raceway,
35th at Chicagoland Speedway and 36th at Talladega Superspeedway. His
best short-track qualifying runs were 8th at Berlin and 9th at
Milwaukee. His best superspeedway qualifying run was 16th at Talladega.
He qualified 16th at Iowa, 21st at Toledo and 25th at Chicagoland.

In 2006 at Orlando Speedworld, he won Rookie of the Year and won three
main events in the Sportsman Late Model Series. Bryan is also a veteran
of PBG Touring Series Legends cars at Bronson Motor Speedway, DeSoto
Speedway and Citrus County Speedway. His plans are to compete in a full
ARCA RE/MAX series schedule in 2007, teaming with former ARS driving
champion Andy Hillenburg and crew chief, Dave McClure.

All four years of high school, Bryan played in the Jazz/Christian Rock
band and was also a four year letterman in basketball. When not racing,
he enjoys discussing Philosophy and playing basketball. He plays the
drums almost daily and loves spending time with his family and friends.
